Class Descriptions
Ballet/Creative Movement: Dancers will learn the foundation of ballet vocabulary, body positions, and musicality through colorful imagery and fun exercises. In Creative Movement, dancers will practice basic locomotor skills, increase body awareness, and create their own choreography.
Ballet/Tap: In this combination class, dancers will learn basic ballet vocabulary, body positions, and musicality before putting on their tap shoes to explore rhythm and basic percussion through their bodies.
Jazz/Tap: Upbeat music will lead dancers through stretches, isolations, and progressions using high-energy and stylized movements, before putting on their tap shoes to explore rhythm and basic percussion through their bodies.
Jazz: Upbeat music will lead dancers through stretches, isolations, and progressions using high-energy and stylized movements. Working on jazz combinations and choreography to gain confidence and coordination.
Hip Hop: Hip hop incorporates a variety of street and pop dance styles to develop coordination, strength, and body awareness set to the energy and rhythm of hip-hop music.
Teen Ballet: Dancers will learn ballet vocabulary and body positions to improve coordination, strength, and proper alignment. Barre exercises, center combinations, and across the floor will allow dancers to build stamina and musical precision.
Teen Contemporary: Dancers will gain body awareness, musicality, and explore their creativity through guided improvisation and experimentation in order to create choreography. Class will end with a weekly combination to challenge dancers' storytelling and artistry.
